Subject matter expertise in public health, healthcare / behavioral health integration; community engagement, community design, opioid crisis / addiction recovery, suicide prevention outreach; and neighborhood revitalization. Worked on projects with veterans/active-duty military/first responders, youth and LGBTQ+ populations affected by social determinants of health challenges. Role for Touchcast Press is delivery of Management Consulting Services and management of Publishing Services.
Other Experience
8+ years in academia (University of South Florida, College of Public Health) as an assistant/associate professor with administrative rolls in community engagement and deputy doctoral program administration. Taught courses in community program planning and theory to practice. Worked with the veteran’s, faith-based and behavioral health community partners on the opioid crisis and suicide prevention outreach across three counties. Created a new course on Business Planning for Healthcare initiatives for the UofL College of Business.
Past experience also includes six years as an entrepreneur technical writing consultant (KMI Communications, LLC), 3+ years as an analyst for a regional health network, five years in DoD business development, and six years in budgeting and congressional affairs for US Navy in Louisville, KY.
